As a trusted partner to one of leading German OEMs, Intellias is deeply committed to supporting the continued success of their ongoing projects. Our current collaboration is at a critical juncture, and we are looking to expand our team and help with testing activities for SWUP (SW update) Domain.

What project we have for you

Our client represents a software development company and a key part of the leading German automotive OEM enterprise. They focus on developing innovative infotainment systems and creating a seamless user experience for the next generation of produced vehicles.

Domain Overview

This role is specifically within the SWUP (SW Update) domain. The team is responsible for updating the IVI both as a wired update (USB) and OTA (Over-the-Air). As of now, the team provide support for 3 platforms (MY 2023-2026, MY2025-2027, MY2027-2030).

Testing activities are mostly to be conducted onsite at client’s premise (office in Berlin) or selected locations with specific conditions (not stable coverage, etc). Drive testing itself is quite limited.

What you will do

Main activities and responsibilities:

Performing software updates to the test cars or test benches
Performing daily/evening static or dynamic testing
Executing test plans/test suites based on priorities provided by Test Manager/Test Lead
Recording traces and providing proper time markers for defect analysis
Creating defect reports directly after a test drives/runs in internal or customer defect management system.
Producing Test Reports/Test Summary Reports after test executions
Creating or extending Test cases/suites/plans for testing needs
Supporting the engineering team by testing dev-drops.
Providing immediate feedback or rectifications to the Tickets Coordinator, FO, Program Lead, Project Lead, etc requests.
Collaborating with a car manufacturer or IVI system development team
Daily presence in the office or client’s premises.

What you need for this

Requirements:

Proven track record in Automotive projects with focus on IVI or Connected cars testing (4+ years)
Hands-on experience in flashing/updating embedded devices
Thorough understanding of different testing methods, techniques, types, and methodologies, being able to choose the most appropriate approach for a given project
Test specification implementation, development of the testing environment, and appropriate testing tools utilization
Understanding and experience with Automotive networking protocols (Ethernet, CAN, LIN)
Solid experience in Test cases creation/maintenance
Proficiency in the creation of test reports and defects
Driving license cat B (general)

Will be a plus:

Any experience with MB SW and toolset
Certain flexibility in working hours – for urgent case be able to work on Saturdays or additional hours

Not Crucial:

Prototype driving license – for this team canbe obtained in MB during project execution
German – the team is international, the spoken language is English and the TCs are in English as well
