What project we have for you

Our client is a software development company which delivers high-quality software for number of automotive OEMs. They focus on developing innovative infotainment systems, navigation software, map and online services and creating a seamless user experience for the next generation of produced vehicles.

 

This position is based in our clients premises in Mumbai office.

What you will do

  • Offer and explain complex ideas at a level appropriate to the audience, considering their experience and background
  • Review and analyze product requirements to ensure that they are testable
  • Decompose and estimate stories and specifications into tasks and allocate them to team members
  • Design and support test strategy, test plans, and required testing documentation
  • Actively apply experience-based test design techniques
  • Support and update traceability matrices and testing guidelines per projects
  • Perform functional and non-functional testing according to project needs
  • Analyse test results, report on the product’s quality and present the information to the stakeholders
  • Lead problem-solving efforts to identify and resolve defects
  • Lead, mentor, and train the testing team
  • Leading Test activities and Test team
  • Test processes definition
  • Daily communication with the Customer and development teams

What you need for this

Required skills:

  • 7+ years in the automotive industry in similar or related positions 
  • 5+ years in Tests Engineering for Automotive  
  • Experience in managing teams of 3+ people
  • Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with agile methodologies
  • Excellent knowledge of testing types such as functional, change-related, and non-functional
  • Knowledge Test Management Tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray for organizing and tracking test cases, test runs, and defects
  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools (git, GitLab Pipelines/Jenkins or similar), Linux CLI
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate testing status, issues, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in arranging on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring of team members
  • Very good communication skills in English
