What project we have for you

We are on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join our Tax team. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to details and the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. This position is responsible for review of direct & indirect returns preparation, provides advice and supports to the business-related questions from tax perspective.
The position supports overseas Group tax compliance.

What you will do

  • International Tax Compliance: Review and analyze key international tax compliance matters and its impact on the Group’s tax position.
  • Local Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and reporting obligations by coordinating the review of local tax filings (such as corporate income tax returns, value-added tax (VAT) returns, and related statutory disclosures) for particular jurisdictions, aligning these with the overall group tax compliance process.
  • Earnings & Profits Management: Plan and communicate the level of dividends from foreign subsidiaries; monitor dividend payments; track and maintain previously taxed earnings and profits; and compute the impact of taxes on distribution dividends.
  • Tax Provision Assistance: Assist the tax accounting team with the quarterly and year-end income tax provision, including managing tax contingencies, deferred tax balances, valuation allowance assessments, effective tax rate calculations, return-to-provision adjustments, and supporting footnote disclosures for financial statements.
  • Tax Research & Planning: Research tax issues for both planning and compliance purposes as well as for tax audits; draft memoranda to support and document conclusions for internal purposes and communication with tax authorities; review analyses of transactions to determine any tax and reporting impacts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams – including finance, legal, external tax consultants, and co-sourcing partners – to gather necessary information and ensure accurate, timely tax compliance deliverables.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Remain current on new tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company stays in full compliance and minimizing potential risks.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance tax compliance processes, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and increase efficiency (for example, through automation or improved data management practices).

What you need for this

  • Education: Master’s degree in accounting, or in Taxation is must. 3+ years Big4 experience is preferred.
  • Experience: 4+ years of progressively responsible tax experience.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledgers with the ability to reconcile and bridge local financials to global tax reporting.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is required. Experience with tax software, PowerBI is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple countries.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically when addressing complex tax scenarios or planning opportunities.
  • Initiative: Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote setting, as well as collaborate effectively as part of a global team.
  • Results Orientation: Results-driven and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to build commitment and enthusiasm to meet deadlines and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment.
