Strong Junior Python (Flask) Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain our web and mobile applications using Python
• Develop and maintain Python backend services.
• Monitor the application and ensure problems are addressed and fixed.

Core:

• Minimum of 2 years in backend development 
• Solid knowledge in Python (Flask) 
• Extensive or solid experience with SQL
• Enforcing software development best practices, verifying design compliance with requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work

Data Engineer background will be a significant plus

• Strong SQL knowledge including procedures, functions, query optimization, materialized views
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Redshift, Lambda

Nice to have:

• Basics in building scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices
• Being open to other languages like Golang, Java, Javascript, C#
• Interested in AI/ML workflows/intents like Amazon Lex, IBM Watson, GCP
• Basic knowledge of AWS Services (including, but not limited to ECS, Lambda, S3, Aurora RDS, SQS) 

General Requirements:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Exposure to agile development methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Good command of English (B2+/C1) 

The position requires cooperation with engineers from Pacific Time Zone – standups take place at 6-7 pm and consider non-regular possible work hours until 9 PM.
