What project we have for you

Our client, a leading software and services provider for communications and media companies, is establishing the Support and Maintenance team for newly launched project in Ukraine, so looking for strong and motivated support personnel with experience in operating high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications and frameworks (On-prem OpenShift, Kubernetes, HBase, Kafka). You will be part of a talented software engineering team that is servicing the next generation of our product using micro services technology stack.

Take responsibility on operations and support of Production BSS (Telecom Billing, rating, ordering, PCRF, network provisioning, IVR, Product catalog and API) IT project in ensuring the Maintenance and services operations SLA. Ensure solution meets customer business and technical needs by leveraging out clients IT assets and best practices while considering IT strategic goals.

What you will do

In one sentence: 

  • Responsible to monitor perform ticket analysis, service interruption analysis, timely resolution or the incidents, failures and to minimize business impact by providing and developing work arounds. 

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, implementing work arounds and proactive measures to prevent future occurrences. 
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely incident response and resolution. 
  • Perform ticket analysis, service interruption analysis. 
  • Ensure timely resolution or escalation within the agreed SLA. This includes creating a positive customer support experience and building strong relationships through understanding the problem, communicating promptly on progress, and handling customers with a professional attitude.           
  • Analyze and fix order fallouts from various applications, journalize manual billing requests, process payments, and customize miscellaneous activities.

What you need for this

Critical Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python or Bash. 
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. 
  • Must have experience of working with microservices. 
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana). 
  • Proficiency in Core Java and Java scripting. 
  • Practical experience with NoSQL databases, such as Couchbase and HBase. 
  • Hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL. 
  • Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal. 
  • Familiarity with Business Support System (BSS). 

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience.
  • Willing to work in shifts and weekend support model. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments. 
  • Must have the ability to see the full End to End picture, including impact on the customer. 
  • Ability to lead technical issues independently and sharing guidance to other team members

Will be a plus:

  • Familiarity with Fuse, Camel, and Spring Boot is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of REACT and Redux is considered an added advantage.
