We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Software Tools Engineer to join our software engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing and streamlining software development, testing, and quality assurance processes. You will design and implement a variety of tools, scripts, and dashboards that support the team’s workflows — ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality throughout the product development lifecycle.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the development team’s experience through advocacy, automation, research, and enablement. You’ll advise and assist teams in defining, developing, validating, and delivering AWS-based solutions that meet evolving development and verification needs. The ideal candidate combines deep technical hands-on experience with strong communication skills and enjoys driving continuous improvement in complex, regulated environments.
• Design, build, and maintain custom tools and scripts to support software development, testing, and maintenance processes.
• Automate workflows and processes involving tools such as JIRA, Polarion, Matrix, and TestRail to optimize team efficiency.
• Develop and implement custom dashboards to monitor and assess product quality and progress during development.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, quality assurance, and technical leaders, to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing tools and processes, driving innovation and efficiency across the team.
• Generate automated reports and test protocols that provide actionable insights into software performance and quality.
• Knowledge of Medical device software development, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related (Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field) with a minimum of 4 years of software verification experience, or master’s degree plus 2 years related experience.
• Proven ability to automate processes and workflows in a collaborative development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Experience working with tools like JIRA, Polarion, and TestRail, including API integration and automation.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++/C# or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of good documentation practices.

• Experience with software version control systems, such as Git.
