We seek an Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our shopping within the Engineering and operation function, bring new features to life, and support our products’ move to modern agile and technical practices and architectures.
As a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in automation and cutting-edge software testing methodologies, you play a pivotal role in upholding the highest quality standards within your team. By leveraging advanced tooling and coding techniques, you seamlessly integrate automation testing into every team member’s daily workflow. Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you drive the implementation of new features and enhancements, ultimately enhancing the experience for over 12 million customers.
As our Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you embrace the following responsibilities:
• Take ownership of the design and development of testing solutions with a strong emphasis on Python-based automation.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and developers to define clear acceptance criteria and resilient test strategies.
• Build and maintain scalable and reliable automation frameworks, integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute and evolve automated, regression, exploratory, and non-functional test suites across all levels.
• Proactively monitor application health, performance, and test outcomes using tools like Grafana, Kibana, and Jenkins.
• Communicate effectively across teams, ensuring visibility of quality metrics and clarity in release and defect tracking.
• Drive and promote a quality-first culture, mentoring others, and instilling best testing practices.
• Serve as a key contributor to the QA Center of Practice, sharing team experiences and influencing wider strategy.
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you must be able to provide the following:
• A positive, proactive mindset with a natural drive to improve processes, team collaboration, and customer experience.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead quality efforts without waiting for instruction.
• Strong foundation in software testing principles and best practices.
• 5+ years of experience in manual and automated testing, with solid Python expertise.
• Proficient in Python test frameworks (PyTest, unittest) and test reporting tools (e.g., Allure).
• Hands-on experience with API testing, contract testing, and RESTful service validation.
• Familiar with performance testing tools like Gatling or Locust, and test management tools like TestRail.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, K8s), and observability platforms (Jenkins, Kibana, Grafana).
• Strong SQL knowledge and comfort working with relational databases and ORM tools (e.g., SQLAlchemy, Hibernate).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Ready to work with on-call duties – approximately 1 week on call every 8 weeks.
Nice to have:
• Experience writing clean code in different programming languages (Java, Python, Kotlin, JavaScript TypeScript).
• Experience with Behavior-driven Development
• Experience with APP test automation tools.
