What project we have for you

A Netherlands-based organization headquartered in Amsterdam operates a global sustainability data and analytics platform focused on real assets, including real estate and infrastructure. The platform provides standardized, validated ESG data and benchmarks used across international capital markets.

The organization runs an annual assessment framework that collects, validates, and scores sustainability performance data from companies, funds, and assets worldwide. The resulting datasets and benchmarks enable investors and asset managers to compare performance, assess risk, and evaluate long-term sustainability impact.

Through structured reports, analytical tools, and benchmarks, the platform supports investment decision-making, portfolio transparency, and engagement between capital providers and asset operators, helping financial markets align capital allocation with sustainability and risk management objectives.

You’ll join a small, diverse, and highly skilled product team (15 people, 12 nationalities) working across Product, Engineering, UX, and Data. We collaborate closely, value open communication, and operate with an agile mindset.

The product is in an active growth and transition phase: we’re streamlining the codebase, reducing complexity, and building a scalable foundation for the next stage. This is a place where your impact will be visible and meaningful.

We’re looking for a senior, pragmatic QA engineer — someone who goes beyond testing, helps shape QA architecture, mentors others, and strengthens engineering quality across the team. If you thrive in change, take ownership, and want to influence how quality is built in a growing product, this role is for you.

  • Identify, document, and track defects; define corrective and preventive actions
  • Review system requirements and ensure test coverage against business and technical expectations
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing
  • Maintain and continuously improve QA processes, standards, and best practices
  • Design, engineer, and evolve a scalable QA automation and testing infrastructure
  • Maximize test automation to support high engineering velocity and predictable quality
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, product owners, and data scientists
  • Create and manage test data in cooperation with engineering and data teams
  • Build customer journey mapping and traceability matrices linking requirements to test coverage
  • Analyze product quality and proactively propose improvements
  • Define, collect, and monitor quality metrics and KPIs (e.g. defect density, defect trends)
  • Identify QA process bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Plan, define, and manage the overall QA strategy
  • Oversee quality assurance for both existing and new product functionality
  • Support temporary QA capacity scaling by coordinating external QA resources during peak loads
  • Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and insights to Senior Management

What you need for this

As Senior / Expert Quality Assurance Engineer, you must be able to provide:

  • 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance TMAP or ISTQB certified QA professional.
