What project we have for you

The project is a Scandinavian national betting agency. It was fully owned by the government and held an exclusive legal betting license for lotteries and sports betting across the Scandinavian region.

What you will do

Immediate responsibilities:

Take full ownership of the features backlog, their prioritization based on business priorities and user needs
Work with the technical team to understand challenges, plan and deliver features and balance technical debt resolution with business directives
Effectively manage the product scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved
Provide a product schedule to identify when each task should be performed; work with Jira and Confluence to control and guide the agile delivery process
Maintains roadmap within the investment frame and guidance provided by client
Break down business requirements to a manageable level, workable by the development team
Together with the team and product stakeholders, elaborate detailed and executable user stories and software requirements and define acceptance criteria for all user stories
Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
Facilitate and participate in the daily Scrums, sprint planning meetings and sprint reviews and retrospectives
Main point of contact between the development team, client Business Users and other departments/units
Manage expectations of stakeholders on the regular basis
Effectively deliver presentations to key stakeholders and top-management including status updates for project stakeholders on the regular basis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ensure project documentation is done, complete and easily available
Be ultimately responsible for delivering the product to the client

Responsivities with further growth of engagement:

Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with business goals
Conduct market research to understand industry trends
Gather and analyze user feedback to inform product improvements and updates
Monitor product performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to optimize the product.

What you need for this

Requirements:

5+ years of experience working as a Product Owner in iGaming projects
5+ years of experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban for effectively managing product backlogs and leading sprint planning sessions
Strong understanding of iGaming platforms, regulatory requirements, and market trends
Clear understanding of principles and specifics of software and product development life cycles
Semi-technical proficiency with an ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Clear understanding of principles and specifics of customer development lifecycle
Extensive knowledge of product management activities, techniques, and best practices
Knowledge of prototyping tools and modeling approaches
Solid knowledge of key business analysis tasks, requirements engineering techniques, project tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)

Nice to have:

Web3.0 and crypto
Experience in leading team of Product Managers/Product Owners
Experience in pre-sales and developing technical proposals will be beneficial

Personal competencies:

Communication and negotiation skills, high levels of commitment and responsibility
Presentation skills with a business analysis/ SWOT focus
Ability to converse with Software Development teams
Ability to prioritize tasks/ objectives with strong organizational, administrative and analytical skills
Demonstrate a passion toward continuous Product Improvement
Interest in and knowledge of the latest technology and trends
Ability to determine development priorities, balancing strategic goals and short-term tactical developments, taking into account resource limitations
