With a strong presence in key international markets, Intellias operates at the forefront of digital transformation, offering deep expertise in software engineering, IT consulting, and product innovation.

The Senior Legal Counsel plays a pivotal role in supporting Intellias’ global operations, acting as a strategic legal partner to senior leadership. This high-impact position focuses on managing complex international IT service agreements, licensing frameworks, and data protection matters across multiple jurisdictions, including the EU, US, and UK. The role demands exceptional legal acumen, strong business orientation, and direct, hands-on involvement in high-value contract negotiations, privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and risk management initiatives.

With a blend of legal rigor and commercial insight, the Senior Legal Counsel contributes to the development of internal legal standards, ensures regulatory alignment, and supports cross-functional and corporate governance efforts. Beyond providing day-to-day legal advice, the role offers a unique opportunity to:

  • Shape a maturing legal function at a time of real transformation.
  • Leave behind traditional, manual-heavy legal practice in favor of process-driven, technology-supported operations.
  • Apply legal expertise amplified by AI tools, streamlined processes, and strong collaboration with business leaders.

This position is ideally suited for an experienced legal professional with substantial international exposure, particularly in the IT and data-driven sectors, who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and wants to make a tangible strategic impact.

What you will do

  • Provide strategic legal support to the company’s global operations, with a focus on complex IT services agreements, licensing, and data processing arrangements
  • Serve as a key legal advisor to top management, offering practical and commercially focused guidance on a range of international legal issues
  • Advise the business on data protection and privacy matters, including compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other global frameworks
  • Draft, negotiate, and review international commercial contracts, including MSAs, DPAs, SLAs, and joint development arrangements
  • Engage as a legal expert in contract negotiations with global clients and partners, ensuring risk mitigation and alignment with business objectives
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal legal policies, standards, and best practices
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments affecting IT and data-driven businesses in key jurisdictions (EU, US, UK, etc.)
  • Support initiatives related to data governance, information security compliance, and cross-border data transfers
  • Coordinate with external counsel, law firms, and other service providers across multiple jurisdictions
  • Assist in corporate and cross-functional matters, including corporate governance and transactional support

What you need for this

  • Master’s degree in Law from a leading Ukrainian university; LL.M. from a reputable foreign institution is a strong advantage
  • 5+ years of post-qualification legal experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role at a top-tier international/Ukrainian law firm, Big 4, or in-house legal department of a technology company
  • Proven expertise in international IT contracting, including drafting and negotiating complex, high-value agreements
  • Deep understanding of data protection and privacy laws, with hands-on experience in GDPR, CCPA, and global compliance strategies
  • Practical experience working with the legal frameworks of the EU, UK, and USA
  • Familiarity with tech sector regulations, licensing structures, and IP issues
  • Strong legal drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
  • Ability to deliver end-to-end legal solutions for complex matters
  • Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. German and/or Arabic is a strong advantage
