What project we have for you

Established in 1880 in Munich, one of the oldest and leading reinsurance and Insurtech companies expands it’s research and development division with new top-notch products that use vast data and forecasting models to help insurance around the world make best decisions and drive value forwards.

What you will do

Responsibilities:

Technical tasks implementation, design, refactoring
Code review, code optimization
Participate in team planning and estimations
Perform an effective code review process
Interaction with customers in terms of requirements analysis, technical decisions, sprint plannings, estimations, retrospectives

What you need for this

7+ years of commercial experience
Solid hands-on experience with J2EE is a must (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JPA, JMS, WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss)
Excellent knowledge of Java and its ecosystem (Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Maven/Gradle etc)
Good Knowledge of RESTful services.
Good knowledge of monolith and microservices architecture
Experience with RDBMS and SQL
Experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes
Experience with unit testing and code quality tools
Ability to take responsibility for delivering a finite unit of functionality
Ability to analyse and clarify requirements and corner cases
Ability to integrate best practices and oversee technical solution of the application
Deep understanding of development principles and paradigms, architectural concepts, patterns, and approaches
Strong algorithmic, analytical and problem-solving skills
Passion for agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and engineering practices (continuous integration, continuous delivery)
Being able to support planning process and perform high-quality delivery according to the expected scheduling
Able to work independently and mindfully as part of a cohesive cross-functional Agile team
Upper-intermediate / Advanced English

Higher Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree
