We are looking for a Principal Identity Governance Engineer to join a global Healthcare Technology team and take technical ownership of enterprise access governance and certification capabilities built on SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).

This is a senior hands-on role focused on access certifications, entitlement governance, identity correlation, SailPoint integrations, RBAC, and audit readiness. You will own solution design, configuration, and continuous improvement of Identity Governance & Administration capabilities in a large, highly regulated enterprise environment.

What project we have for you

You will join an enterprise Identity & Access Management / Identity Governance team responsible for securing and governing access across a complex global technology landscape.

The role centers on SailPoint Identity Security Cloud and the design and operation of enterprise access certification programs. You will work with identity, application, security, audit, compliance, and business teams to ensure certifications are accurate, scalable, auditable, and aligned with regulatory and internal control requirements.

A key part of the role is integrating SailPoint with enterprise applications and data sources using connector-based, API-based, file-based, database-backed, and directory-based approaches.

What you will do

  • Serve as the technical owner for enterprise access certification and review programs in SailPoint ISC.
  • Design and configure user, entitlement, role, and application certifications.
  • Translate governance policies, regulatory requirements, and control objectives into scalable SailPoint configurations.
  • Define and implement integrations using connectors, APIs, files, databases, and directories.
  • Configure aggregation, identity correlation, attribute mappings, and entitlement models.
  • Design reviewer assignment, delegation, escalation, reminders, SLAs, and automated remediation workflows.
  • Review changes affecting certification accuracy, control effectiveness, auditability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot identity, entitlement, integration, and data quality issues.
  • Support reconciliation, reporting, and analysis using SQL and platform data.
  • Provide technical explanations and evidence to internal and external auditors.
  • Collaborate with Security, IAM, application, business, audit, and compliance teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation, certification runbooks, and operational reporting.
  • Continuously improve governance processes and recommend security enhancements based on risk, audit findings, and SailPoint capabilities.

What you need for this

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), IAM, application development, or application testing.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).
  • Deep expertise in access certifications and access reviews.
  • Strong experience with:
    • User, entitlement, role, and application certifications
    • Identity correlation and aggregation
    • Entitlement modeling
    • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Experience designing and configuring certification workflows, reviewer logic, delegation, escalation, reminders, and completion SLAs.
  • Strong experience integrating SailPoint using:
    • Standard and custom connectors
    • REST APIs
    • File-based integrations
    • Database-backed integrations
    • Directory-based integrations
  • Experience defining identity attributes, aggregation rules, mappings, and correlation logic.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational data structures for reconciliation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, PowerShell, or similar scripting/automation technologies.
  • Ability to analyze identity and entitlement data quality issues that affect certification accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of identity governance, access controls, auditability, and security best practices.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical design, control logic, risk, and audit evidence to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with identity lifecycle management, provisioning, and deprovisioning workflows.
  • Experience designing certification programs in large enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Background in Healthcare, Medical Devices, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of information security policies, standards, and governance controls.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audit and compliance activities.
  • Strong technical leadership and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience improving IAM/IGA processes, documentation, and operational standards.
