To provide smooth navigation experience every system should be supplied with the live traffic information which is updated continuously. Client, which could be either mobile application or car navigation system, at every moment of time needs actual status on road traffic, average speed on current and the next road segments, incidents information and so on.
What project we have for you
Traffic team works on solutions that provide and consume this kind of data in different ways: over the internet or through the broadcast sources (DAB/FM radio formats).
Working at the Traffic team we understand that our work provides a facade for the multiple applications and systems that rely not only on correct map data but also on fresh and accurate traffic information.
What you will do
- Technical representation
- Lead the design and development of Java-based applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide internal and external consulting services to various stakeholders
- Conduct architectural assessments
- Lead discovery analysis, conduct workshops for business, play the key technical role in preparation proposals including creation of solution architecture and end2end operational scope (cloud, SW, integration, data migration, security, acceptance, deployment, and further production support)
- Define and document software architecture and technical specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team.
- Research and evaluate new technologies to improve application development and performance.
What you need for this
Required skills:
- At least 10 years of experience in software development.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Proficient in distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Can decompose monolithic systems into sub-systems (layers, tiers, modules, etc).
- Experience and understanding of code quality measuring tools (SCA)
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools (expert in implementing the Testing Pyramid strategy).
- Knows the advantages and disadvantages of using RESTful/GraphQL/RPC API.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable and reliable applications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of web application security principles.
- Advanced UML modeling experience.
Will be a plus:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Contribution to open-source projects and active participation in technical communities.
