What project we have for you

We are responsible for managing API management system for online products and hence are key to customer experience. We drive improving the quality of the service and aim to enable self-service for our users through system engineering and software development.
We are looking for a skilled engineer to temporarily join the team and support on some of the key initiatives currently ongoing.

What you will do

Work with the team to develop key features to improve platform stability, reduce maintenance cost, and improve developer experience for our internal customers. The team covers a wide range of areas, depending on your skills, you will be supporting the development for some of the below areas:

Design and develop major features for our Monetization service, handling real-time transactions and balances computation.
Improve our infrastructure by working on various tasks to lower maintenance costs and improve security posture.
Implement abstraction layers as backend APIs to allow other system to interact with the platform
Extend the internal developer portal UI to expose APIM features to other engineering teams.

What you need for this

Experience with Golang
Nice to have good knowledge of relational database technologies (Postgres). Including sharding, partitioning and write heavy workload
Experience developing REST and gRPC APIs
Follow best code quality practices including testing
CI/CD technologies, including source code management (GitHub), pipelines, secrets, artefacts.
GitOps practices and infrastructure automation, including infrastructure as code
Security, privacy, and compliance essentials

Nice to have: 

Knowledge of relational database technologies (Postgres). Including sharding, partitioning and write heavy workload
Software architecture fundamentals 
Software-defined operating models and technologies, including IaaS, CaaS, and PaaS 
Certificate Management automation (Cert Manager)
Experience with Typescript
Experience in implementing UI using React Framework
Development of backend for frontend APIs. Including security best practices
Knowledge of Internal Developer Portal technologies such as Backstage

General skills and experience :

Experience on working in production-grade platform related teams (Cloud, Infrastructure, Internal Developer Experience)
Experience building and operating mission critical systems. 
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
MSc in computer engineering or equivalent desirable
