What project we have for you

Our client is the fastest-growing global tobacco manufacturing company. An international corporation with over a hundred years of history, internationally recognized brands and Reduced-Risk Products.

Intellias’ mission is to support its strategy and efforts in the Digital and e-commerce space (e-commerce and other apps mobile apps, payment gateways, loyalty system, search engine, employee management, identity management, etc.).

A newly conceptualized Digital Eco System is comprised of a set of capabilities including an online shop & website, linking online & offline, customization & personalization, engagement & membership, digital product & services main differences.

What you will do

Newly formed team for testing newly created mobile application.

What you need for this

Testing Experience:

  • 3-5 years of QA experience, preferably in Mobile Application testing (iOS and Android), ideally in E-commerce or consumer apps.
  • Experience with native mobile platforms (Android, iOS), including understanding of OS-specific behaviors and device-specific testing.

Requirements & Test Design:

  • Define requirements during use case preparation.
  • Conduct interviews with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather mobile-specific functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Clarify and document any device/os-level dependencies, network condition scenarios, edge cases, etc.
  • Create test cases/checklists in Allure TestOps or equivalent tools based on mobile-specific functional requirements.
  • Define mobile testing layers in Allure Define mobile testing layers in Allure TestOps.

Test Level Testing:

  • Mobile App Functional Testing: Proficiency in verifying UI/UX flow, business logic validation, and mobile-specific functional scenarios.
  • Mobile Integration Testing: Validating integrations with backend APIs, push notifications, deep linking, biometric authentication, in-app purchases, etc.
  • Cross-device and Cross-platform Testing: Ensure consistent functionality across different devices, screen resolutions, OS versions.
  • Network Condition Testing: Test app performance under varying network conditions (2G/3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, offline mode).
  • Regression Testing: Ensure previously tested features work after updates or bug fixes.
  • End-to-End Testing (E2E): Participate in E2E validation covering mobile-to-backend workflows.
  • Smoke/Sanity Testing during release cycles.

Test Case & Planning Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain detailed test plans and test cases specific to mobile activity/component level.
  • Maintain and update test suites for new OS versions or app updates.
  • Validate failed test automation runs from mobile CI/CD pipelines.
  • Estimate, prioritize, and plan mobile testing activities.
  • Review mobile-related user stories and tech specs to provide QA feedback.
  • Maintain traceability matrix mapping test cases to requirements.

Reporting & QA Metrics:

  • Track metrics like crash rates, defect densities, open defect counts for mobile environments.
  • Identify QA process bottlenecks in mobile test lifecycle and propose improvements.
  • Log and track mobile-related issues (device-specific bugs, OS compatibility issues, etc.).
  • Report mobile-specific environment issues (test device availability, app installation failures).
  • Provide defect analysis and support to business teams reporting issues on mobile platforms.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Critical analysis of mobile-specific conditions, device logs, crash reports.
  • Strong troubleshooting using mobile logs, adb/xcode logs, console output.
  • High attention to detail in documenting mobile testing outcomes.
  • Actively participate in improving mobile QA strategy and ensuring its execution.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Communicate mobile QA findings and test coverage status clearly.
  • Collaborate with product teams, developers, and mobile automation engineers.
  • Cooperate with mobile automation QA to align manual coverage with automated tests.
  • Use tools like MS Teams, Jira/Confluence, Email, ensuring mobile-specific details are well documented.

Methodology Awareness & Experience:

  • Experience working in SCRUM/Agile teams for mobile projects.
  • Knowledge of Mobile CI/CD pipelines, versioning systems, mobile build management tools (e.g., Bitrise, Fastlane).

Architecture & Technical Knowledge:

Basic understanding of:

  • Mobile app architectures (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture).
  • REST API integration with mobile clients.
  • Push notification mechanisms (Firebase, APNS).
  • App security: token-based auth, encryption, secure storage.
  • Analytics & logging tools (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry).
  • App distribution channels (TestFlight, Google Play Internal Testing).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and autonomous in mobile QA processes.
  • High ownership of quality delivery on mobile releases.
  • Culturally aware, team-oriented, and resilient under high-priority release pressure.
  • Capable of handling multi-device multitasking and prioritization.

Toolkit:

  • JIRA, Confluence, Allure, Postman, Firebase Console, Xcode, Android Studio, adb, Charles Proxy, TestRail (or equivalent test management tool), Git-based repos, Appium logs analysis, mobile testing tools (e.g., BrowserStack, SauceLabs, Kobiton).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Detox, Espresso, XCTest).
  • Familiarity with Playwright/Mobile Web testing.
  • Domain experience in FMCG/E-commerce mobile applications.
  • Understanding of JTI processes and mobile deployment workflows.
