We are seeking an Engineering Manager / Transition Lead to lead the technical side of migrating Intellias’ internal talent and employee experience applications into a modern HR platform ecosystem.

This role owns the transformation of a landscape of custom-built HR-related solutions into a target application architecture based on best-of-breed HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems, while ensuring stability and continuity of existing platforms during the transition period.

During the transition phase, the role combines transformation leadership with ownership of platforms stability. After the transition is completed, the role evolves into ownership of the Core HR Platform ecosystem.

What project we have for you

Intellias is undergoing a major digital transformation of its internal systems. One of the key initiatives is consolidating HR capabilities that are currently distributed across multiple custom-built platforms into a coherent target HR application architecture built around best-of-breed HRIS and ATS solutions.

In this role, you will work with an experienced cross-functional team to define and deliver the optimal balance between the out-of-the-box capabilities of enterprise SaaS platforms and the flexibility provided by custom development. The goal is to create a sustainable, scalable HR platform ecosystem that supports business needs without unnecessary complexity.

You will join a team that plays a strategic role in corporate change management, process improvement and automation, shaping how Intellias operates at scale.

What you will do

  • Define and own the target-state vision and architecture of the HR platform ecosystem (HRIS, ATS, existing custom employee engagement platforms, integrations and data flows)
  • Plan and execute integrations (APIs, middleware, events, data pipelines)
  • Develop the migration roadmap and, together with owners of adjacent systems, ensure execution of the transition plan
  • Lead legacy decommissioning across custom-built solutions in a controlled, business-safe manner
  • In close collaboration with the data platform team, ensure data readiness and migration
  • Ensure operational stability and continuity of the existing platform during the transition period, including maintenance, incident management and controlled delivery of critical change requests
  • Balance run & change responsibilities: maintain a stable production platform while driving transformation and integrations
  • Act as a single point of ownership between Engineering, Product, Talent Management, Security and Executive stakeholders
  • Lead and structure the team during transition: integrations, experience-layer development, HRIS support and reskilling paths
  • Ensure transparent communication, decision-making and expectation management across stakeholders
  • Drive delivery discipline while protecting long-term architectural integrity
  • Define future operating model and team structure for the post-transition state

What you need for this

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering management, delivery management or transition leadership roles
  • 2+ years of experience with HRIS projects, including at least one full-cycle implementation or major transformation
  • Proven experience leading complex platform transformations or large-scale system integrations
  • Strong understanding of system integrations (REST APIs, events, middleware, data synchronization) and data streaming
  • Experience with legacy system decommissioning and migration planning
  • Ability to own platform stability and transformation in parallel
  • Strong conflict management skills and the ability to facilitate difficult discussions across stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly present complex topics, trade-offs and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
  • Upper-intermediate English or higher

Will be a plus:

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data (core HR, compensation, performance, recruiting)
  • Experience with data governance, HR analytics or AI readiness initiatives
  • Certifications in project, program or change management
