They provide energy, logistics, and technology solutions to aviation, marine, and land customers and suppliers around the world. Their solutions include oil and energy procurement, distribution and storage, operations support, financial, consulting, and technology services.

What you will do

  • Provide technical leadership, experience, and expertise throughout all tasks.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of all in-house developed, open source, and commercial DevOps tooling owned by the team.
  • Ensure system availability, performance, capacity, and monitoring through proper response to incidents, events and problems.
  • Provide operational support to dev teams by managing infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Implement and maintain automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) to streamline deployment processes and ensure consistency across environments.
  • Collaborate with the application teams to enhance platform stability and optimize application performance in cloud environments.
  • Monitor systems and applications proactively, responding to incidents, and performing root cause analyses for any issues within the infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with security and monitoring standards, utilizing tools like AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, and SonarQube to track application health and performance.
  • Document best practices, troubleshooting guides, and configuration management processes within Confluence.

 

What you need for this

Core Skills:

  • Infrastructure Platforms: Proficiency in AWS, including core services and ECS-Fargate for container management.
  • Operating Systems: Strong experience with both Linux and Windows Server administration, along with scripting capabilities in PowerShell and Bash.
  • Configuration Management: Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management tasks.
  • CI/CD Tooling:
  • Version Control: Bitbucket (including advanced features like Pipelines and Bitbucket Pipes).
  • Build and Release: Bamboo, with custom release workflows.
  • Automation and Monitoring: Jfrog for dependency management, SonarQube for code quality analysis, and Opsgenie for incident response.
  • Containers and Orchestration: Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration within AWS (e.g., ECS-Fargate).
  • Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and YAML for writing automation scripts and configuration files.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Experience with CloudWatch and New Relic for application and infrastructure monitoring, with the ability to set up alerts and dashboards for proactive monitoring.

Additional Skills:

  • Networking and DNS Management: Basic knowledge of AD DNS, Bind Server, and external DNS management through Cloudflare.
  • Utilize Confluence for documenting processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Familiarity with Jira and JSM for tracking issues, managing tasks, and maintaining project workflows.

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA-C03) for foundational knowledge in AWS services will be a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking for diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential system issues.
