As a Data Architect on a Digital Healthcare Team, you will play a crucial role in leading the technical design and development of the core backend infrastructure and systems that power our data-driven healthcare applications. Your role will involve the design and development of secure and scalable platforms to support consumer-centric health and wellness applications.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of data solutions serving consumer-centric and healthcare professional-focused digital tools aimed at enhancing medication adherence and achieving optimal health outcomes. This role requires strong leadership, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and technical expertise to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives while optimizing program performance and alignment with business objectives.

The Digital Healthcare Team seeks a skilled and driven Data Architect to drive and support the development and launch of innovative digital care and life management programs targeting diabetes and other chronic conditions. We are building a comprehensive digital health platform that empowers patients with chronic conditions and their informal caregivers to manage health journeys more effectively together. Our platform combines multiple modular services into a seamless ecosystem that bridges the gap between clinical care and daily life management.

What you will do

  • Lead the technical design and development of federated data management and federated learning systems to support the scalability of our digital health platform and to support patient ownership and control of healthcare data.
  • Design and create conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate data storage, integration, and processing technologies, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Define data standards, data governance policies, and data management processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the organization.
  • Define and implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Document data architecture artifacts, including data models, data flow diagrams, and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and technical teams to understand and analyze data requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, clinical, and behavioral science teams to develop actionable insights and intelligent features within patient- and caregiver-facing digital tools.
  • Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization’s data architecture.

What you need for this

Required skills:

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a strong understanding of data architecture principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Must have Clinical HealthCare experience in the United States Market 
  • 8+ years of overall development experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with AWS, DWH services & cloud storages
  • Solid experience with Databricks
  • Solid experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.)
  • Proven experience building DWH and data lakes, designing ELT / ETL processes
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data, NoSQL, and RDBMS.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, data management, and data quality concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data requirements and translate them into practical data architecture solutions.
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Will be a plus:

  • Experience with DataOps, data mesh etc. 
  • Experience in developing data science, analytics, and AI/ML solutions with Databricks.
