As a Cloud Architect on a Digital Healthcare Team, you will play a crucial role in leading the technical design and development of the underlying infrastructure for digital experience platform that supports patients and caregivers throughout the continuum of care. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, engineers, and product & project managers to create scalable and resilient cloud foundation and to bring innovative health features to life. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with an understanding of healthcare domain and privacy and security requirements.

This role requires strong leadership, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and technical expertise to ensure successful delivery of initiatives while optimizing program performance and alignment with business objectives.

The Digital Healthcare Team seeks a skilled and driven Cloud Architect to drive and support the development and launch of innovative digital care and life management programs targeting diabetes and other chronic conditions. We are building a comprehensive digital health platform that empowers patients with chronic conditions and their informal caregivers to manage health journeys more effectively together. Our platform combines multiple modular services into a seamless ecosystem that bridges the gap between clinical care and daily life management.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of cloud optimization solution; 
  • Design and implement DevOps processes: such as continuous integration and delivery, automated testing, and deployment automation, to accelerate software delivery and improve quality.
  • Infrastructure management: designs and manages cloud-based infrastructure using tools such as AWS, (optionaly: GCP), to ensure scalability, high availability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Automation: responsible for automating manual processes across the software development lifecycle to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
  • Performance optimization: analyzes system performance and identifies opportunities for optimization, such as load balancing, caching, and database tuning.
  • Security and compliance: ensures that the DevOps processes and infrastructure meet security and compliance standards.
  • Team management: leads and manages a team of DevOps Engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure the team’s success.
  • Collaboration: collaborates with other teams, such as development, QA, and operations, to ensure smooth integration and alignment of processes and goals.
  • Continuous improvement: responsible for continuously improving DevOps processes, infrastructure, and tools to achieve higher efficiency, quality, and scalability.

What you need for this

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of AWS, strong experience in deploying HA solutions in AWS
  • Healthcare Experience (Clinical Healthcare) 
  • Knowledge of Containers – Docker/Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure provisioning technologies – Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Expert in modern scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Go)
  • Experience in Git/Github/Bitbucket/GitLab
  • Experience with Product Owner Role
  • Experience in leading engineering teams
  • Background as a Software, Infrastructure or as System engineer
  • Experience in Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Strong understanding of system/software architecture patterns
  • Knowledge of design and implementation of resilience patterns, cloud-native patterns, distributed systems patterns, regional failover patterns
  • Profound knowledge of Software development and delivery processes and frameworks

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and collaboration skills to articulate clinical concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
  • Team organization skills, ability to take over technical manager/product owner role
  • Work effectively in a matrixed organization, influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to complex and dynamic situations.
  • Multicultural awareness to enable collaboration with diverse, global teams.
  • A strong passion for improving healthcare through technology, including access to care and healthcare experiences
  • Ability to drive initiatives, advocate technology and practices, socialize ideas
