August 13, 2024 – Kyiv, Ukraine – The Veteran Friendly Company award by Veteran Hub recognizes employers in Ukraine who improve veteran employment culture through supporting veterans and helping them effectively reintegrate into society. To earn this award, companies must:
Reintegrating veterans into society and helping them adapt to the workplace are top priorities for Intellias. In 2023, the company became one of the first Ukrainian IT firms to develop an internal veteran support policy and launch a comprehensive program tailored to integrating specialists with combat experience. That same year, Intellias and Veteran Hub formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation as part of the HR Praktyka project.
Today, the reintegration of veterans is a key focus for the public sector, the state, businesses, and society as a whole. At Intellias, we recognize that adapting business practices to support the systematic reintegration of veterans is a crucial responsibility. We are committed to creating an inclusive reintegration process by implementing our own initiatives, staying attuned to veterans’ needs, and continuously learning and sharing best practices.
Intellias has implemented several initiatives as part of its veterans’ adaptation policy:
To enhance awareness of veterans’ needs, Intellias organizes educational events. For instance, in May 2024, the company hosted a training session on the recruiting and adaptation of veterans in IT, which attracted over 200 participants from diverse sectors.
This is not the first time Intellias has been recognized for their efforts to reintegrate veterans. In 2023, Intellias was included in a list of the 25 best employers for veterans according to Forbes Ukraine. Additionally, the company has donated over 2.5 million USD to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And to honor the memory of colleagues who have died in the war, Intellias offices have launched a Wall of Honor project with the names of fallen heroes.
Veteran Hub is a Ukrainian charitable organization that supports combatants and their families. For more than four years, Veteran Hub has provided veterans and their families with ongoing psychological, legal, and employment support. Veteran Hub operates in Kyiv and Vinnytsia. Mobile offices are used to visit combatants and their families in other regions.
