In January 2021, Intellias, a technology partner of Fortune 500 companies and top-tier enterprises, was recognized as one of the top 50 Ukrainian employers by Forbes Ukraine. The Forbes report features Ukrainian companies with an annual turnover of more than UAH 4 billion and more than 1,000 employees on board, operating in various domains from agriculture to media and telecommunications. Intellias was ranked 5th among all listed companies and 1st among IT service providers, proving the company’s exceptional commitment to employees and showcasing the high level of organizational trust.
For more than 18 years, Intellias has been developing as a community of talented engineers passionate about world-changing technologies. By creating a supportive atmosphere of mutual trust and responsibility, we’ve formed a culture-driven organization that always puts people over processes. The way Intellias cares about its specialists has become one of the company’s key differentiators on the market. I’m proud that our corporate initiatives resonate with employees and get paid back with such great loyalty and appreciation. No matter how fast we grow, our values will remain the same — a humane attitude, open communication, and respectful teamwork.
Forbes magazine partnered with Work.ua, the leading Ukrainian job search platform, to compile a trustworthy rating that would evaluate the level of employee satisfaction across organizations, whose success is mainly dependent on human capital. The ranking was formed on a 100-point scale with employee evaluations composing 60% of the final score, labor market experts’ opinions accounting for 20%, and other sources contributing the remaining 20%.
To collect data for the ranking, Forbes Ukraine surveyed employees in 150 of the largest Ukrainian companies, giving a voice to more than 11,000 employees. Forbes asked respondents to rate their willingness to recommend the company, running payrolls, work schedules and work conditions, social packages, opportunities for growth, and support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Intellias scored 87 points, reflecting the company’s daily efforts to improve the employee experience.
Intellias considers the health and safety of employees and their families as the company’s top priority. When the pandemic began, Intellias required all employees to work from home and provided technical equipment upon request. The company also delivered personal safety kits to all employees, ensured free COVID-19 tests for employees, and provided extended paid sick leave for employees with confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Offering multiple motivational programs and benefits, Intellias promotes healthy lifestyles, knowledge, and personal growth as part of the company’s culture. Intellias employees can join the hiking club, participate in cyber game tournaments, support charity projects, and organize industry events. The social package for employees includes health insurance, gym membership, children’s rooms, and in-office hairdressers. Intellias has also helped its specialists prevent burnout and maintain their psychological well-being during the lockdown by providing compensation for counseling services.
In 2019, Intellias initiated an internal loyalty system with elements of gamification. When recommending new candidates or clients, employees receive smarts — a virtual currency that can be exchanged for branded souvenirs.
This employee-centered strategy has justified itself: Intellias managed not only to retain employees but to add more than 150 new positions in 2020. During the past year, Intellias was rated the best employer among the largest IT service companies in Ukraine by DOU, the largest hub for IT experts in the country, recognized as an equal opportunity employer by UN Women, and awarded the title “Business That Is Changing the Country” by CSR Ukraine.
