On January 25, the global IT company Intellias will hold a She is Tech conference, a large-scale event for women in the tech industry. The goal of the conference is to foster gender balance for future tech evolution. For more than 10 hours, women from Europe and the USA will share their stories, experience, and motivation and exchange ideas.
The conference will discuss how the percentage of women in tech companies can be increased and what employers can do about it. It will also focus on women’s leadership and careers, considering personal stories of female leaders and top managers about their own paths and obstacles. The third theme will be the role of communities in empowering women in the technology sector and beyond.
Since signing the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) in 2021, we’ve been consistently and systematically creating a better workplace for women at Intellias and contributing to overcoming the gender gap in the tech industry. It’s only natural that we now want to gather all partners and experts to have a meaningful conversation about how we can lead the tech industry together towards a greater gender balance.
The list of speakers includes:
Inés Casero – Cultural transformation consultant at Great Place to Work Spain
Marisol Menendez – CEO & Founder of WITH Spain
Teresa Carreiro – Co-founder of Critical Manufacturing
Bianka Siwińska – President of the Perspektywy Educational Foundation
Viroslava Novosylna – Co-founder of Wtech
Martina Silov – President of CroAI (Croatian AI Association)
Vânia Gonçalves – Founder of Geek Girls Portugal
Regina Viadro – SVP Global Head of Digital Technology Services, President of North America at Intellias
Dusica Lukic – Co-founder & CPO of Joberty
The rise of female talent in the tech sector emphasizes the importance of promoting equal opportunities and leadership for women in STEM. Formerly centered on attracting talent, the current emphasis is on developing profiles and achieving leadership parity. Events like She is Tech inspire and connect women in technology, building strong communities and fostering innovation for equitable industry growth.
We are proud to support the She is Tech Conference. Last year for the Commission on the Status of Women, the UN Secretary General wrote a special report on innovation, technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. UN member states agreed to a substantial set of recommendations on how to support gender equality through technology. We must work together to bridge the digital gender gap and support women.
Participation in the conference is free, subject to prior registration. Registered participants will have access to the broadcast and an opportunity to network in the conference chat on Discord.
