We are seeking experienced .NET Developer to support a critical enhancement initiative for a legacy crop insurance Policy Administration System. The team will deliver three major enhancements focused on:

Policy administration functionality
Commission calculation and payment processing
Tracking and reporting capabilities

This work is highly visible and serves as a foundational step toward broader modernization initiatives across the platform.

The application is a legacy Microsoft .NET system with a SQL Server backend, ASP.NET MVC architecture, and Angular front-end components. Developers will work closely with QA Engineers, business stakeholders, and a Development Lead to deliver scalable enhancements while supporting a business-critical enterprise platform.

The team structure will include:

1 Development Lead
1 Additional .NET Developer
2 QA Engineers (Senior and Mid-Level)

What project we have for you

The project aims to create a new platform based on microservices architecture, replacing the existing monolithic system to enhance the client’s operational efficiency within the insurance sector. This modernization effort will leverage event-driven development to enable real-time communication and responsiveness across quoting solutions, policy administration, and core claims systems. By adopting an event-driven, microservices-based architecture, the new platform will improve scalability, flexibility, and reliability. This approach ensures that key business events are processed and responded to in real-time, allowing the client to swiftly adapt to changing business needs, regulatory requirements, and new technologies, driving long-term success and competitiveness in the insurance industry.

What you will do

Design, develop, and enhance features within a legacy .NET application environment
Build enhancements related to policy administration, commission calculations, payments, tracking, and reporting
Develop and maintain ASP.NET MVC applications and Angular front-end components
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and backend data logic within SQL Server
Collaborate with QA Engineers and business stakeholders to ensure quality and functional accuracy
Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and production support activities
Support integration efforts across interconnected enterprise systems
Contribute to modernization readiness and future-state architecture initiatives
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions

What you need for this

Core Development Skills

Strong experience with Microsoft .NET development
Experience developing applications using ASP.NET MVC
Experience working with Angular front-end technologies
Strong SQL Server experience, including writing queries and stored procedures
Experience supporting and enhancing legacy enterprise applications
Experience with web application development and integration work

Technical Environment

C# / .NET Framework

Additional Qualifications

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work collaboratively within Agile development teams
Experience working on business-critical applications preferred
Insurance, financial services, or enterprise policy administration experience is a plus
