Ingolstadt, Germany – 18 March 2026 – Intellias, a global partner for AI-enabled product engineering and digital solutions, has opened a TISAX Assessment Level 3-certified engineering garage in Ingolstadt, Germany, in addition to its fully operational office in the IN-Campus. The facility provides Intellias secure premises in the heart of the German automotive industry for automotive software development and validation, combining normal/high/very high protection class for prototype vehicle testing, a test bench laboratory, and an AI R&D Lab for joint development with clients in the region.
Working with prototype vehicles requires a controlled environment that meets secure handling of sensitive data, prototypes, and GDPR compliance designed for automotive industry security standards for engineering partners, including restricted access, data protection protocols, camera restrictions, and certification covering the handling of highly confidential hardware. The new Ingolstadt facility meets these requirements under TISAX Assessment Level 3 for Handling Test Vehicles, Protection of Prototype Vehicles, and Protection of Prototype Parts and Components.
This highest certification level enables Intellias to take on the most demanding prototype work, including security-sensitive pre-series prototype vehicles that must be tested away from public visibility. Previously, such testing took place at the automotive OEM premises, where Intellias engineers and test drivers supported the client onsite.
Automotive OEMs work with some of the most security-sensitive hardware and require engineering partners who can meet the highest standards on their own premises. Our Ingolstadt garage provides a certified independent environment for demanding validation work and enables our teams to develop and test new solutions in real automotive settings aligned with strict client security requirements.

The garage spans 1,000 square meters and includes two floors. It has 16 secured parking slots for prototype vehicles divided into two separated areas, a laboratory with capacity for up to 120 test benches, two dedicated storage areas for hardware parts and prototype components, meeting rooms, and office space. The facility is equipped with six EV charging stations and one high performance EV charging station, an exhaust intake system for combustion engine testing, and two dedicated network connections with direct OEM network integration capability.
The new TISAX Level 3-certified Intellias garage is the company’s second fully operational test facility in Germany alongside the Wolfsburg site. It enhances collaboration with OEMs and expands engineering capacity for next-generation vehicle development. Hosting the Intellias R&D Lab, the site provides a real-world environment for implementing and testing pragmatic AI solutions, including the Validation & Verification Accelerator, an automated platform for generating in-vehicle HMI test cases, first showcased at CES 2026.
