February 19, 2026 – Pune, India – Intellias, a global partner for AI-enabled product engineering and digital solutions, has launched IntelliGISLab in Pune – a hands-on bootcamp designed to equip young engineers with practical skills in geospatial analytics and location-based technologies, strengthening the company’s long-term engineering presence in India.
The initiative reflects Intellias’ commitment to empowering talent, fostering engineering communities, and nurturing a growth-mindset culture across global locations, with India playing an increasingly strategic role in its global delivery network.
Launched at the end of 2025, IntelliGISLab is a 2.5-month training program created for final-year students and recent graduates in India. Under the guidance of Intellias mentors from the Mobility segment, participants work on building a geospatial data platform that supports modern in-car navigation systems – gaining hands-on experience aligned with real production environments and industry standards.
Empowering the next generation is at the core of IntelliGISLab. We take students beyond the classroom and into a real industry setting, blending guided mentorship with hands-on project experience to show how geospatial solutions are built. Our goal is to give early career talent the confidence and practical skills needed to hit the ground running. In doing so, we strengthen our community and accelerate our vision of building India as a cornerstone of innovation within the Intellias ecosystem.
The IntelliGISLab curriculum blends structured learning with hands-on practice. In the Training Lab phase, participants explore key technologies such as Java, JTL, OpenStreetMap and Overture Maps, Java Topology Suite, routing principles, and map data formats – building a solid foundation in modern geospatial engineering. During the Product Lab phase, students work in Agile teams on realistic project scenarios under the mentorship of Intellias experts. They enhance the GraphHopper Ingestion Layer to support Route-Ready Overture Map data through a data source–agnostic architecture that abstracts differences between map formats and models. This unified interface enables seamless integration with diverse data sources and reflects production-grade workflows used in global mobility projects.
