We are looking for an experienced iOS Engineer to join our Agentic Commerce Program, bring new features to life, and support the evolution of our services and products. You will work closely with the Product Owner, Architect and your team members, clarifying business needs and technical requirements and defining how to support them best. In close collaboration with our Mobile Apps team, you will introduce new agentic, AI-driven features and improvements to our apps to provide an even better experience for more than 11 million customers!
As our iOS Engineer:
· With your team and Product Owner, you will work in a dynamic agile environment in close collaboration with other teams.
· You will participate in the team’s technical/architectural discussions and decisions.
· You will develop and continuously deliver applications for one of Europe’s most successful pet e-commerce platforms.
· You will participate in the complete software development life cycle from discovery through coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
You will learn and grow your skills, striving for mastery using state-of-the-art technologies such as Swift, SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, XCTest, Bitrise and AWS.
You will be part of our Agentic Experience Team, bringing AI-driven, customer-facing features, such as our in-app chatbot, to life on the iOS app. You will own the native UI, state, and integration layer, working closely with the Mobile Apps team.
· Participate in solution investigation, estimations, planning and alignment with other teams.
· Designed, implemented, delivered, and supported new features for our iOS apps.
· Design and build the native chatbot experience as a modular, reusable component (e.g. a dedicated Swift Package), so it can be integrated across app surfaces and evolve independently of the host app.
· Work closely with the Mobile Apps team to integrate your solutions into the apps.
· Promote and implement test automation (e.g., unit tests, integration tests, e2e tests and performance tests)
· Build and publish new versions of our applications using Bitrise and the Apple Developer Portal.
· Work closely with the team in an agile and collaborative environment. This includes code reviews, pair programming, knowledge sharing, and incident coordination.
· Maintain existing applications and reduce technical debt.
Must have
· 6+ years of experience with iOS development
· You have the skills to investigate and implement new features independently.
· You possess a product-oriented mindset and an understanding of customer needs.
· Being responsible for the quality of your solution comes naturally to you. You have experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development.
· Experience with debugging, profiling, publishing and monitoring apps.
· You are interested in growing as a software engineer and participating in the development cycle.
· You guide less experienced colleagues, helping to structure and clarify requirements.
· Experience working with agile practices, values, and principles.
· Empathetic and able to quickly build relationships.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· You use agentic SDLC tooling and AI-assisted coding (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) as a standard part of your engineering workflow, and are comfortable directing and reviewing AI-generated code.
Nice to have
· Experience with experimentation and product optimization:
o A/B testing, feature flags (Firebase Remote Config, Adobe Target, Optimisely)
o Analytics tools (Firebase analytics, Adobe analytics)
· Experience building global and scalable apps:
o Localization & internationalization (Lokalise)
o Multi-module architecture and large-scale app optimization
· Exposure to Android development (Kotlin/Compose), or familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), as we explore multi-platform strategies.
· Understanding of conversational UI patterns for LLM-based chat experiences (streaming responses, typing indicators, graceful error and fallback states).
