For decades, we have been champions of the mobility industry. With our smart mobility solutions, we connect businesses and lives across Europe. Our fuel cards, tolls, and refund secure mobile solutions are working on the basis of Europe’s biggest station network. We enable true borderless logistics and transportation, payment, and fleet management solutions.

Now we are progressing to the next level: in times of digitization and climate change, our company aims to continue its tradition as the one mobility service provider that keeps its customers driving.

What project we have for you

Become part of a dedicated and professional team that helps shape commercial mobility throughout Europe.

Your Role:

  • You will work as part of a Scrum software development team with members from Romania, Germany and Ukraine who design and implement software that focuses on providing our customers/users with optimal service.

What you will do

  • Drive the end-to-end development and delivery of product features across the React/TypeScript frontend and the NestJS/Node.js backend.
  • Translate business and product requirements into robust, maintainable and scalable technical solutions.
  • Design and develop reusable frontend components using React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui.
  • Implement advanced frontend data-fetching and state-management patterns using TanStack Query.
  • Monitor and improve frontend performance, accessibility, responsiveness and user experience.
  • Design and implement backend services and complex business logic using Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript.
  • Design resource-oriented REST APIs and contribute to their documentation, versioning and lifecycle management through OpenAPI.
  • Design and maintain PostgreSQL data models, migrations, relationships, transactions and optimised queries using Prisma, TypeORM or MikroORM.
  • Design shared schemas and type contracts across the frontend and backend, ensuring strict TypeScript boundaries and consistent runtime validation using Zod.
  • Independently implement secure authentication and authorization flows, including OAuth2 Authorization Code with PKCE on the frontend and JWT/JWKS verification on the backend.
  • Define and implement unit, integration, contract and end-to-end tests across the application.
  • Contribute to test strategy, quality gates and the early identification of breaking changes.
  • Build and maintain containerised applications using Docker and support their deployment in Kubernetes-hosted environments.
  • Collaborate closely with Platform Engineering on API Gateway contracts, Kubernetes-hosted services and deployment requirements.
  • Review pull requests, provide actionable technical feedback and support Junior Developers through pairing and knowledge sharing.
  • Resolve technical ambiguity independently and proactively communicate risks, dependencies and blockers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards, architecture, testing practices and delivery workflows.

What you need for this

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in Fullstack, Frontend or Backend Software Development.
  • Proven hands-on experience building production applications using.
  • TypeScript, React, Node.js and NestJS, or comparable technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering features across the full software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including solution design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
  • Ability to translate business and product requirements into technical solutions across frontend, backend, APIs and data layers.
  • Ability to lead the implementation of features from initial definition through to production delivery.
  • Ability to identify and resolve ambiguity independently, while escalating relevant risks and dependencies.
  • Understanding of how frontend applications, backend services, authentication flows, APIs, databases and platform services interact.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Design, Frontend, Backend and Platform Engineering teams.
  • Ability to assess the impact of technical decisions across the full application stack.
  • Experience reviewing technical solutions and pull requests, identifying risks and providing clear, actionable feedback.
  • Ability to support Junior Developers through pairing, technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment and contributing to iterative product delivery.
  • Ability to contribute to engineering standards, testing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
    Frontend
  • Strong hands-on experience with React, including hooks such as useState, useEffect, useCallback, useMemo, useRef and useContext.
  • Experience with component composition, error boundaries and Suspense.
  • Conceptual understanding of React’s reconciliation process and the ability to identify and avoid unnecessary re-renders.
  • Advanced knowledge of TypeScript, including strict mode, generics, utility types, discriminated unions, type narrowing and shared type contracts.
  • Ability to enforce strict and consistent TypeScript boundaries between frontend and backend applications.
  • Experience with Vite, including environment configuration, plugins and build optimisation through code splitting and tree shaking.
  • Experience building responsive, reusable and themeable interfaces using shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS, CSS variables and component primitives.
  • Strong experience with TanStack Query, including queries, mutations, infinite queries, invalidation, optimistic updates, prefetching and stale-while-revalidate patterns.
  • Experience defining and sharing runtime validation schemas using Zod, including refinements, transforms and inferred TypeScript types.
  • Experience consuming REST services using typed API clients and implementing consistent error handling, retry and request-deduplication strategies.
  • Ability to conduct frontend performance profiling and contribute to accessibility audits.
  • Experience writing frontend unit and interaction tests using Vitest or Jest and React Testing Library.
    Backend
  • Strong experience developing backend services using Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript.
