We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join the IT organization of a large U.S. transportation and relocation services company.
This is a hands-on role combining Microsoft endpoint management, systems administration, and endpoint security. The ideal candidate has strong practical experience with Microsoft Intune, PowerShell, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft security technologies and is ready to grow toward a Senior Systems Administrator role.
What project we have for you
The IT environment is centered around the Microsoft ecosystem, supporting corporate users and endpoints across multiple business locations.
The role is responsible for administration and security of Windows and mobile endpoints, Microsoft 365 and identity services, while also supporting vulnerability remediation and day-to-day infrastructure operations.
This is not a pure helpdesk role. The engineer is expected to independently administer core endpoint and identity technologies and gradually expand ownership across the broader IT infrastructure.
What you will do
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Intune across Windows, iOS, and Android endpoints.
- Configure device policies, compliance rules, applications, security baselines, and endpoint protection.
- Use PowerShell to automate Microsoft 365, AD, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and endpoint administration.
- Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online.
- Maintain endpoint security controls including Defender, BitLocker, and Windows Firewall.
- Support vulnerability remediation and resolve endpoint-related security findings.
- Troubleshoot escalated system, identity, and endpoint issues.
- Support device provisioning, patching, software deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain technical documentation and continuously improve operational procedures.
What you need for this
- 3+ years of experience in systems, endpoint, or Microsoft infrastructure administration.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune.
- Strong practical experience administering Intune for Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
- Experience with Intune configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, and security baselines.
- Strong PowerShell skills for administration and automation.
- Hands-on administration of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online administration.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security technologies, including:
- Microsoft Defender
- BitLocker
- Windows Firewall
- Microsoft security baselines
- Experience troubleshooting endpoint, identity, policy, and access-related issues.
- Understanding of endpoint vulnerability management and security remediation.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Windows Autopilot and zero-touch provisioning.
- Experience with Conditional Access, MFA, and identity security controls.
- Windows Server and Group Policy administration experience.
- Experience addressing findings from vulnerability scans, security assessments, or penetration tests.
- Experience with application packaging and deployment through Intune.
- Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, MS-102, or AZ-104.
