What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Develop robust data processing and automation solutions using Python and SQL.
- Design and optimize data models, queries, and processing workflows for performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex data issues and drive continuous improvements to existing solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, analysts, and other engineering teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices, testing, and code quality.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of the CDP data platform and its architecture.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including solution designs, operational procedures, and implementation guides.
What you need for this
Our data engineering team is responsible for building and operating data pipelines for the ingest of data from our global markets. The data engineers collaborate with our data scientists on creating machine learning models to generate business insights from our global data pool.
Must Have
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Strong Python programming skills for data engineering, automation, and data processing.
- Solid software engineering and programming skills, with experience designing maintainable and scalable applications.
- 2+ years of experience designing and implementing production-grade data pipelines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong technical documentation and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within an Agile team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, particularly Azure data services.
- Experience with GitLab and Git-based development workflows.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, distributed data processing, and modern data engineering architectures.
- Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to technical leadership.
