Senior Software Test Engineer responsible for manual and automated testing of medical device software systems, including development of C#-based automated tests, execution of system-level validation, and verification of hardware–software interactions. Contributes to delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality healthcare solutions in a regulated environment.

What project we have for you

We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer to join a team developing breakthrough non-invasive medical technologies focused on histotripsy treatment systems. The role combines hands-on manual testing and automated testing in C# for complex medical device software and integrated hardware platforms.

You will be responsible for validating software functionality, system workflows, and hardware–software interactions across highly regulated medical environments. The position requires close collaboration with software, systems, and product engineering teams to ensure reliability, performance, and safety of life-critical medical solutions. Experience with embedded systems and hardware-integrated testing is considered a strong advantage.

What you will do

Software Verification & Validation

  • Design, develop, and execute:
    • Manual test scenarios
    • Automated test cases in C#
    • Integration and system-level validation procedures
  • Validate software functionality for medical device platforms and clinical workflows
  • Perform regression, exploratory, usability, and end-to-end testing across Windows-based environments and connected systems

Test Automation (C#)

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test utilities using C#/.NET
  • Create automated validation suites for:
    • Device communication
    • Functional workflows
    • UI and system behavior
  • Support continuous integration and automated execution pipelines

Embedded & Hardware-Integrated Testing (Big Plus)

  • Validate interactions between:
    • Embedded software
    • Hardware devices
    • Sensors and external interfaces
  • Perform troubleshooting and testing in laboratory environments using real hardware systems
  • Support system integration and verification activities for connected medical devices

Defect Analysis & Troubleshooting

  • Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear root-cause analysis details
  • Collaborate with development teams to investigate complex software and system issues
  • Verify fixes and support release validation activities

Documentation & Compliance

  • Create and maintain:
    • Test plans
    • Test protocols
    • Traceability documentation
    • Validation reports
  • Contribute to verification activities in regulated environments aligned with FDA and medical device quality standards

What you need for this

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing or software quality engineering
  • Strong experience in:
    • Manual testing
    • Test case design
    • Defect management
    • System-level validation
  • Hands-on experience with C# and .NET for test automation
  • Experience testing desktop or hardware-connected applications on Windows platforms
  • Familiarity with source control systems and CI/CD practices

Will be a plus:

  • Experience with:
    • Embedded systems
    • Hardware–software integration testing
    • Medical devices or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with:
    • IEC 62304
    • ISO 13485
    • FDA-regulated development environments
  • Experience with serial/network communication interfaces and device-level diagnostics
