We are seeking an experienced Senior React Developer to join a collaborative Agile team supporting enterprise application development initiatives within the insurance technology space. This role is heavily focused on front-end engineering using React while partnering closely with a .NET backend environment.
The ideal candidate will bring deep React expertise and help mentor developers who are actively building their front-end capabilities. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys coaching teams, establishing front-end best practices, and contributing to modern application development within a collaborative engineering environment.
This role will primarily focus on React development while also working across APIs and backend integrations within a .NET Core ecosystem.
What project we have for you
The project aims to create a new platform based on microservices architecture, replacing the existing monolithic system to enhance the client’s operational efficiency within the insurance sector. This modernization effort will leverage event-driven development to enable real-time communication and responsiveness across quoting solutions, policy administration, and core claims systems. By adopting an event-driven, microservices-based architecture, the new platform will improve scalability, flexibility, and reliability. This approach ensures that key business events are processed and responded to in real-time, allowing the client to swiftly adapt to changing business needs, regulatory requirements, and new technologies, driving long-term success and competitiveness in the insurance industry.
What you will do
Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript
Build scalable, reusable front-end components and application architecture
Collaborate with backend developers working within a .NET Core environment
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs across front-end and backend systems
Mentor and support developers who are growing their React expertise
Help establish front-end engineering standards, best practices, and development patterns
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Support unit testing efforts across front-end and backend integrations
Work effectively within projects that may contain evolving requirements and ambiguity
What you need for this
Required Skills & Experience
Front-End Development
5–7+ years of professional software development experience
Strong React development experience (mandatory)
Experience with React Redux
Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
Experience building enterprise-scale web applications
Strong understanding of front-end architecture and component design
Backend & Integration Experience
Experience working with .NET Core backend environments
Strong API development and integration experience
Experience consuming and integrating RESTful services
SQL experience
Additional Qualifications
Strong mentoring and knowledge-sharing capabilities
Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Comfortable working within evolving or ambiguous project environments
Nice to Have Skills
Azure DevOps (ADO)
CI/CD pipeline experience
AWS cloud experience preferred
PostgreSQL
AG Grid
Jest unit testing
DevOps and release automation experience
Work Environment
Hybrid work environment preferred (4:1 policy)
Preference for candidates able to work onsite in Maple Grove, MN
