What project we have for you
Become part of a dedicated and professional team that helps shape commercial mobility throughout Europe.
Your Role:
- You will work as part of a Scrum software development team with members from Romania, Germany, France, Netherlands and Ukraine who design and implement software that focuses on providing our customers/users with optimal service.
What You’ll Work On:
- New Terraform Repository (Snowflake Infrastructure)
- Snowpipe Migration
- dbt Transformation Migration
- Ingestion Table Management
- Reporting Portal
What you will do
- Planning, developing and running the web applications
- Developing Java web microservices for the Azure cloud, providing functionality and APIs, which are mostly used by our App, angular-based frontends and function as stand alone API
- Developing framework services or libraries to be used by other teams in the same landscape
- Creating well written documentation
- Data management
What you need for this
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Application design/development experience as a Java Backend Developer
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in Java-related frameworks, such as Spring
- Mandatory experience with Message Brokers (optimally with Kafka)
- Knowledge of interface technologies (e.g. HTTP, REST)
- Proven experience in developing in a CI/CD environment with test automation
- Snowflake deep hands-on experience: Snowpipes, stages, storage integrations, RBAC (access roles, functional roles, database roles), COPY INTO, variant data handling
- Terraform production experience with the Snowflake Terraform provider (ideally v1.x). Comfortable writing modules, dynamic blocks, and managing state
- dbt production experience building and maintaining dbt projects on Snowflake. Incremental models, sources, freshness checks, testing, CI/CD
- Azure: ADLS / Blob Storage, Event Grid, Azure DevOps Pipelines (CI/CD). Storage integrations between Azure and Snowflake
- SQL advanced (complex transformations, deduplication logic, variant/JSON flattening in Snowflake)
- Data Modeling understanding of dimensional modeling, Slowly Changing Dimensions (Type 1/2), and data quality patterns (dbt tests, anomaly thresholds)
- Upper-intermediate (B2) level of English
- Perfect understanding of Ukrainian
Nice to have:
- Experience with schemachange (Snowflake community migration tool)
- ADF (Azure Data Factory) — understanding of extraction pipelines
- Databricks Spark connector for Snowflake
- Snowflake Postgres (new feature — evaluating for Ladeblick API)
- Python (for any remaining migration scripting)
- Experience migrating from stored-procedure-based ETL to dbt
