We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Directory Services & IAM to join a global healthcare technology organization and take ownership of enterprise directory and identity services.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, hybrid identity, directory security, automation, and operational reliability. You will work across architecture, design, deployment, operations, and troubleshooting of business-critical identity infrastructure in a large enterprise environment.

What project we have for you

You will work within an enterprise cybersecurity and Identity & Access Management organization supporting business-critical directory and authentication services in a highly regulated Healthcare environment.

The role covers the full lifecycle of Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID services — architecture, design, deployment, security, operations, monitoring, upgrades, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

You will work with global IT teams, offshore engineering teams, security specialists, platform SMEs, and vendors to maintain highly available and secure identity infrastructure while improving operational efficiency through scripting and automation.

What you will do

  • Administer and support enterprise Active Directory and Entra ID environments.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain domain controllers, DNS, Group Policy, replication, trusts, and hybrid identity services.
  • Manage directory synchronization, authentication, access controls, and privileged access.
  • Develop PowerShell automation for administration, reporting, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor Directory Services availability, performance, capacity, logging, and alerting.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, patching, migrations, and infrastructure changes.
  • Provide L2/L3 and on-call support for identity and directory-related incidents.
  • Troubleshoot complex authentication and directory issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Ensure Directory Services comply with corporate security policies and identity security standards.
  • Collaborate with Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Application teams on identity integrations and architecture.
  • Maintain technical standards, operational procedures, and system documentation.

What you need for this

  • 10+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management, Directory Services, or enterprise security infrastructure.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including domain controllers, forests/domains, replication, trusts, DNS, and Group Policy.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), hybrid identity, and directory synchronization.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including provisioning/deprovisioning, RBAC, privileged access, and access controls.
  • Deep knowledge of LDAP/LDAPS, Kerberos, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory security, certificate management, and identity security best practices.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex authentication, synchronization, DNS, GPO, and directory-related issues.
  • Experience supporting highly available Directory Services in production, including monitoring, patching, upgrades, incident response, and on-call support.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a large enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CyberArk or other PAM platforms.
  • Experience with AWS IAM and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix identity integration.
  • Experience with Splunk or similar logging and monitoring platforms.
  • Experience with PKI / Active Directory Certificate Services.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications with AD and Entra ID.
  • Background in Healthcare, Medical Devices, Financial Services, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership within Directory Services/IAM teams.
