We are looking for a Security & QA Engineer (MCP Registry) to validate the security, reliability, and governance controls of an enterprise MCP Registry platform. The role combines security testing, API validation, lifecycle governance verification, and automated test development. The ideal candidate has strong experience in security-focused testing, Python automation, AWS authentication workflows, and enterprise platform validation.

IT platform hosts 700+ applications.
Intellia’s mission is to help the client with the engineering of a comprehensive software ecosystem for a game-changing IoT product on the margin of innovative consumer experience and cutting-edge technology. Our teams are involved in the engineering of core platform components for best-in-class eCommerce, Digital Marketing and IoT solutions. As an Engineer, you will become a part of Core Architecture Team and be responsible for the architecture, implementation of best practices in our Digital Engineering Enterprise Platform.
The Platform is a set of services and internet applications that accelerate the development and delivery of software applications by taking care of common SDLC challenges. The Platform provides access and consumption for engineering teams to a set of services, technologies, practices for their development and for operating their application, ensuring a set of compliance and best practices.

What you will do

  • Design and execute security and functional test strategies for MCP Registry platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python and pytest.
  • Validate authentication and authorization mechanisms, including token validation, access control enforcement, and permission boundaries.
  • Test CRUD operations and registry workflows, ensuring compliance with validation rules, governance policies, and lifecycle constraints.
  • Verify registry business rules such as:
    • prevention of deletion of active MCP servers;
    • prevention of deactivation when resources are still in use;
    • governance gate enforcement before activation.
  • Perform security testing to identify credential exposure risks, authorization weaknesses, and improper access patterns.
  • Validate AWS authentication flows and secure access mechanisms across APIs and platform services.
  • Review and validate CloudTrail audit logs for completeness, traceability, and compliance requirements.
  • Create test scenarios covering positive, negative, boundary, and failure conditions.
  • Collaborate with platform, security, and backend engineering teams to identify defects and improve platform resilience.
  • Produce and maintain test documentation, security reports, and compliance evidence.
  • Support regression testing for platform enhancements and governance workflow updates.

What you need for this

• Security testing (authentication enforcement, credential exposure checks)
• Python test automation (pytest)
• Lifecycle constraint testing (cannot delete active MCP, cannot set inactive if in use)
• Functional test design for CRUD + validation rules
• AWS CloudTrail audit log validation

Experience:

• 4+ years security testing or QA engineering
• Registry or API security testing
• AWS authentication flow testing

Will be a plus:

• MCP gateway enforcement testing
• Vault secret exposure testing
• Governance lifecycle gate validation
