We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the implementation of a robust IoT platform software solution for a major telco in the Nordic region. This is a key role in a 9 to 12-month project aimed at implementing cutting-edge IoT technologies, tailored to meet the unique needs of our client in Northern Europe.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of the IoT platform, ensuring that timelines, resources, and budgets are managed effectively. You will collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to guarantee the successful execution and delivery of the platform. Your expertise in IoT solutions and project management will be essential to drive the project’s success in this region, which requires close attention to regulatory, environmental, and business requirements.

What project we have for you

This project involves the delivery of a comprehensive IoT platform by an independent software vendor to a leading telecom operator in the Nordic region. The platform will enable seamless connectivity and management of IoT devices across the operator’s network, integrating real-time data protocols and ensuring high-performance, scalable solutions.

With a project duration of up to one year, a significant focus will be on managing complex integrations between the IoT platform and the operator’s existing systems, including the implementation of real-time integration protocols to support critical operations. The successful delivery of this platform will drive innovation and enhance the operator’s IoT capabilities across its network infrastructure.

What you will do

  • Overall accountability and responsibility for all Project Management Office domains: Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Change, HR, Communication, Risk, Procurement and Integration.
  • Manages the overall project scope and maintain its continuous alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Sets the project plan and make recommendations to modify the plan when necessary.
  • Sets priorities, ensures optimization and resolves conflicts to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent.
  • Ensures alignment of all project tasks under his/her supervision with standards and project management methodology, including compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ensures an effective and engaged project team, usually without direct authority, by providing ongoing guidance and mentorship.
  • Ensures the delivery of project results in full.
  • Builds credibility relationships and maintains communication with stakeholders at various levels, both internal and external.
  • Secures budget and timeline. Determines and coordinates the sharing of resources among the constituent tasks to the overall benefit of the project.
  • Leads and facilitates periodic status and risk discussions with project stakeholders. Evaluates and discusses project results and lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversees the project closure, integrating all relevant components.
  • Governs and resolves risks as well as the most complex issues effecting project delivery across the different content disciplines (e.g., SW development, SW Testing, Infrastructure for SW development projects or real estate or other corporate domains in other cases)

What you need for this

  • Minimum 5 years experience in project management domain, with at least 4 years of managing projects
  • Experience and knowledge in several key domains relevant to the project – Telecom, BSS, IoT, general network infrastructure
  • System Integration experience preferable:
    • Service Provisioning: Involving HLR, HSS, Packet Core, eSIM Subscription Management, SMPP, SMTP, sFTP, etc.
    • Real-Time Session Management: Overseeing AAA, Diameter, Radius, Gy, Ro, etc.
    • BSS Synchronization: Coordinating CRM, Product Catalogue, Billing, etc.
    • Workflow Automation: Integrating processes like Account Creation, SIM order, SIM Activation, SIM Lifecycle Management, Billing Feed, Collection, Dunning, Trouble Ticketing, etc. 
  • Custom Feature Development:
    • Development of Product Features: Custom features as part of the product roadmap.
    • Ad-Hoc Custom Development: Specific developments tailored to unique requirements.
  • Testing & Acceptance activities understanding:
    • Integration Testing: Includes Handshake Testing.
    • Performance Testing: Assessing system performance.
    • User Functionality Testing: Verifying functionality from the user perspective.
    • End-User Acceptance Testing: Final acceptance tests performed by end-users.
    • Security Assessments: Conducting security evaluations.
  • Onsite work business trips may be needed
