We are looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner who is a native Japanese speaker with strong English communication skills to bridge business needs and build high-quality digital healthcare solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, product teams, designers, and engineers to define product requirements, manage the backlog, and ensure successful delivery of high-quality web and mobile applications.

What project we have for you

Our client is a global healthcare organization, one of the areas of which is improving the lives of patients and caregivers through innovative digital health solutions. Working as part of an international, cross-functional team, you will contribute to products that support individuals affected by cognitive disorders and help caregivers navigate their daily responsibilities with greater confidence and ease.

Current initiatives include:

  • A mobile application designed to support Alzheimer’s disease caregivers, providing educational resources, guidance, and digital tools to assist them throughout the caregiving journey.
  • A web-based platform focused on the digitalization of the dementia caregiver experience, streamlining caregiver interactions, improving access to information and support services, and enhancing the overall user experience through modern digital capabilities.

What you will do

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
  • Produce and maintain clear, comprehensive project documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, release documentation, and user guides where applicable.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Facilitate requirement workshops, backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Clarify requirements and support the development team during implementation and testing.
  • Validate delivered functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate with Japanese stakeholders to ensure business needs, language, and cultural expectations are accurately reflected in the product.
  • Support product releases and contribute to continuous product improvement using user feedback and business insights.

What you need for this

Required Qualifications:

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency (spoken and written).
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
  • Experience working on web and mobile applications.
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain business and functional documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process diagrams, specifications, and other project artifacts.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with backlog management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or digital health industry.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with UX principles and customer journey mapping.
  • Experience with product analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Understanding of APIs and system integrations.
